Addressing a protest rally organised by RPP Nepal here today, Thapa called the emergence of the incidents of violence, murder and conflict as 'unfortunate' arguing that the people should have been excited and upbeat about the prospect of a new constitution.
RPP Nepal Chair Thapa reiterated his party's stance on reinstating Hinduism as Nepal's state religion. He said the constitution must uphold Hindu status in a country with majority of Hindu loyals.
The party's Vice Chair Tanka Dhakal, Spokesperson Bishnu Bhattarai, Assistant General Secretary Gita Bhatta Joshi, central member Rajaram Bartaula among others stressed the need for incorporating the people's sentiment in the constitution.
The party took out a rally from Tripureshwor to New Baneshwor where it converged into a meeting.
