On the behalf of Koirala, Minister for Forest Mahesh Acharya is holding informal talks with Madhes-based parties. Similarly, second-rung leaders of UML are also holding consultation with agitating Madhesi and Tharu leaders.
UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Baburam Bhattarai on Tuesday evening told Prime Minister Sushil Koirala that constitution should be promulgated only after resolving the genuine and political demands of Madhesi parties and Tharu organizations. "The use of force would will not pave an amicable way out," Dahal and Bhattarai told Koirala.
