Four parties give two-day ultimatum to agitating parties for talks

The meeting also decided that the finalisation of the constitution drafting process would not be halted in the name of talks and it would be taken together along with talks with the discontent parties.
In the meeting held at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday, leaders discussed various alternatives to deal with the grievances of the agitating parties and groups. The alternatives include halting the constitution drafting process for a certain time, giving extension to tabling the amendment proposal on constitution Bill and continuing with the current pace of constitution drafting process along with the talks together.
But, former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula and UML Chairman KP Oli objected to halting the constitution drafting process.
Situala is of the view that there should be dialogue only after the constitution promulgation.
