Representatives from the Department of Transport Management (DoTM), Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNTE) and consumer rights associations were present at the meeting.
“The meeting will be held again on Wednesday,” Sharad Adhikari, the director at DoTM and coordinator of the committee to determine scientific fare told the Post. “We have urged the transport entrepreneurs to maintain the minimum fare to Rs 12 from the existing Rs 14 in Kathmandu Valley.”
According to Shrestha, the transport entrepreneurs have asked for a day for internal homework on the matter and they will sit for next round of talks on Wednesday.
