The indefinite curfew order will be effective from 8pm in Jaleshwor Municipality area.
Earlier, three demonstrators died in police firing during a clash at Jaleshwor, Mahottari district on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Bivek Chaudhary, 22, of Mahottari VDC-5, Amit Kapad alias 'Amit', of Bakhri in Jaleshwor-9, and Rohan Chaudhary, of Bajrahi in Jaleshwor-7. The bodies have been kept at Jaleshwor Hospital.
Dr Satish Kumar Sah confirmed that the three people died in police firing. Another one critically injured has been referred to Janakpur Hospital.
According to Chief District Officer Deepak Adhikari, the security personnel were compelled to open fire after the demonstrators went berserk even after the attempt to calm them down through talk. He said the protesters set fire to the quarter of justice, and attempted to attack the security personnel at the entrance of District Police Office.
Likewise, SP Saurav Rana said the police personnel were compelled to open fire as the other ways to take the situation under control failed.
A media person identified as Bikash Mishara has also sustained bullet in his hand. Around 30 people have been injured.
According to our Janakpur correspondent Shyam Sundar Sashi, three people seriously injured in Jaleshwor have been brought to Janakpur Zonal Hospital for treatment. One of them, identified as Birendra Dittha, of Pigauna, has sustained bullet in his head and is critical.
