Major parties mull on constitution drafting process

A clause-wise voting on modified draft constitution bill begins on Friday unless a three-party meeting decides to stop the constitution drafting process.
The two Madhesi morchas, one including Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal, Tarai Madhes Loktantrik party, Sadbhawana Party and Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party and another led by Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar have urged the major parties to halt the process.
Earlier, on Thursday UCPN (M) had remarked that the drafting process could be halted for 1-2 days.
Likewise, Madhes-based Nepali Congress lawmakers have also urged the party to halt the process and begin dialogues with the dissenting parties.
