40 Far-West lawmakers demand for continuation of drafting process

Around 40 lawmakers from Far-Western region on Sunday tabled the memorandum urging the major parties’ leaders to take process and dialogue alongside.
NC leader Ramesh Lekhak said that the constitution drafting process has already begun and the three parties should move ahead with the process alongside talks with the dissenting Madehs-based parties.
Leader Lekhak said that rumours of disintegrating undivided Far-Western region through amendments in the constitution was surfacing and demanded that the region remain intact. “We will not accept the amendments made to fulfil someone else’s demands,” said Lekhak, “Steps to disintegrate Far-Western region should not be taken.”
