Analysts and leaders said that there is a deep sense of betrayal among common Madhesi people.
“Common people are calling it Pahadiya constitution. They think it is made to serve interests of a few,” said Chandra Kishore Jha.
They were also wary of attempts of underground outfits creating communal disharmony.
“It’s very much a matter of concern for all of us. It is the duty of both the local administration and Morcha to act in a sensible way to prevent it,” said Laxman Lal Karna, co-chair of Sabdahana Party.
Karna had led a peaceful rally of thousands of people during mass burial of five people killed in Birgunj.
