Nepal Police sub-inspector Saroj Naral has been suspended from his post for opening fire during a protest at Damauli in Tanahun district in which a teenager lost his life.
One Roshan Dura, 18, of Bhadgaun, Byas-1, had died after he was shot during a protest against the murder of another Purna Bahadur Ale Magar. Sixteen-year-old Magar was found hanging from a tree and his family members and relatives began demonstration claiming he was murdered.
Tanahun Police Chief SP Mohan Kumar Acharya informed that Naral was relieved from his post and further investigation into the case would be launched.
