PM Koirala, accompanied by Forest Minister Mahesh Acharya, reached the party’s central office in Bijulibazaar this morning and held an hour-long meeting with the Madhesi leader.
PM’s hopes of sorting out the differences with the Madhesi parties before his visit to the UN General Assembly ended without any results after Thakur blamed the government and the three major parties of derailing talks environment. PM is flying to New York to take part in the meeting scheduled to take place on September 22.
Thakur, however, said that he would consult with other Madhesi leaders and decide whether to accept or reject the PM’s offer. Thakur is flying to Rajbiraj to take part in a programme organised by the Madhesi Morca.
TMLP Vice Chairman Hridayesh Tripathi was also present in the meeting.
