Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal Chairperson Upendra Yadav has claimed that the seven-point amendment demand of the new constitution was not made by them.
Speaking at a conference in Biratnagar, Yadav said that Morcha has not put forth any new demands except implementation of the 22-point and 8-point pacts signed in the past. He emphasised that the new constitution needed amendment as it has failed to include rights of Madhesi, Janajatis and marginalised communities.
Denying India’s involvement in border blockades, Yadav mentioned that the Indian side had no part in blockades and has only stopped vehicles sensing lack of security due to ongoing morcha protests.
