The District Administration Office Mahottari has lifted curfew order enforced in the Jaleshwor Municipality on Friday. The curfew order was ceased following an improved security in the area.

However, the prohibition order covering 500 meters around the District Administration Office and District Police Office is still in effect, Chief District Officer Deepak Kafle said.

The DAO in Mahottari had been imposing curfew order in the town after a clash between the police and agitating cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) turned violent posing a threat to security condition.
