Chandranigahapur unrest: one injured in police firing [UPDATE]
A protester sustained bullet wound during a clash that ensued between the cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha and security personnel at Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district on Friday.
A protester sustained bullet wound during a clash that ensued between the cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha and security personnel at Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district on Friday.
The injured has been identified as Bhagya Narayan Mahato of Bishrampur-6. He received serious injuries in head.
Meanwhile, few security personnel including a DSP were injured during the clash.
The clash ensued between police and SLMM cadres after police tried to intervene protesters who were enforcing shutdown on the East-West Highway in the district on Friday.
Police stopped the protestors who came in thousands at Chandranigahapur Chok which lies on the highway. Police fired 20 blank shots in the air and lobbed 15 rounds of teargas shells.The situation is still out of control.
