At a greeting exchange programme organised here in the Capital on Friday by All Nepal Women Association to mark Nepali women’s cultural festival, ‘Jitiya 2072’, leader Oli asserted that the border embargo would come to an end soon through dialogue.
“The blockade will be lifted through talks. Nepal and India will also mend the strain in their relationship,” he said.
Nepal as landlocked country possesses the right to get connected with the sea port, Oli said, adding that Nepali people are happy over the adoption of a new constitution despite border blockade.
As per the special agreement among the political parties, they would carry out the post-earthquake reconstruction and complete the backlog of constitution after forming a national government soon, the UML chairman said.
“It is wrong to spread rumour that the constitution has not addressed the rights and welfare of Terai people. It is not okay to misinterpret the constitution to promote anarchy,” Oli said. The UML chairman claimed that the constitutional guarantee of 33 percent women participation in every state organs and
40 percent women representation at local bodies is quite a commendable achievement. (PR)
