Three private sectors bodies have warned they will not be in a position to run business enterprises if the ongoing banda in Tarai and supply disruptions is not solved immediately.

In a join appeal, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Nepal Chamber of Commerce asked the parties concerned to resolve the issues through dialogue at the earliest.

The long-running banda and disruption in fuel supply has created a huge crisis in the country. “The situation may go out of the control if it remains the same for the next few days,” they said.

They said the fuel shortage has affected lives in the entire and country and it could lead the nation to a failed state. Industries and businesses have been affected badly due to the banda and blockade at customs points, the appeal states.
