Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) clarified that Paras Khadka has not been sacked as the skipper of the national cricket team.

CAN send a letter to Khadka clarifying that he was the caption of the team and rumours about his sacking were false.

Khadka organised a press meet in the Capital today and said that he had demanded an answer from the cricketing body after his sacking began to churn the rumours mill. “They send me a letter clarifying that I am the captain of the national team and those rumours were false,” Khadka said.

Khadka also said that he was saddened by such false rumours. “I am a player under contract with CAN. I have nothing to say if they decide to terminate it. But such rumours has hurt me, my family and my fans,” Khadka said. He said the rumour of his sacking on disciplinary grounds had questioned his loyalty and dedication towards the game.
