Formed in November 2014, the band is a collaborative project between French and Indian specialists of Jazz and Latin music. The quartet consists of the following members: Emmanuel Simon (on percussions), Pradyumna Singh Manot, aka Paddy (on keys), Premjit Dutta (on the timbales) and Bijit Bhattacharya (on bass).
Known to perfectly adapt to both intimate, small audiences and festive dancing crowds, The Latination is one of the most promising Latin Jazz bands in India. Since the band’s formation, they have performed in cities across India such as New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Pondicherry, Bhopal, Pune and Chandigarh-and have received accolades from both audiences and fellow musicians.
The Kathmandu concert will kickstart the band’s tour. After the Kathmandu gig, the band will be performing in Pune. The scheduled concert in Kathmandu will start from 7:30 pm.
