Nepali, Indian officials discuss 'unofficial blockade' in New Delhi

A delegation of Nepali officials including Nepali Ambassador to India, Deep Kumar Upadhyay, met Indian officials and discussed the ongoing ‘unofficial blockade’ imposed by India against Nepal on Monday.
The meeting held at India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in New Delhi lasted for about an hour. Five Nepali officials were present at the meeting, while MEA’s chief for Nepal desk Abhay Thakur and deputy secretary Priyanka Chauhan represented Indian at the meeting.
Nepali officials took up the issue of interrupted supplies of daily essentials, mainly the petroleum products, to Nepal. Indian officials told Nepali delegates that they have been working to ease the supply.
