NC indecisive on govt formation as top three leaders eye premiership

The meeting failed to arrive at conclusion after three top brass leaders expressed their desires to run for the coveted post.
Incumbent Prime Minister and NC President Sushil Koirala, Deputy-President Ram Chandra Poudel and leader Sher Bahadur Deuba have been aspiring to become the next prime minister of the country.
Pradeep Poudel, a leader privy to the development, said that majority of CC members suggested forming a new government with the premiership of Nepali Congress again.
According to CC member Badri Pandey, the top three leaders have been given responsibility to determine NC’s official position on the new government formation. “If they forge a common ground, the CC will endorse it as NC’s official position,” he said.
