Tandan removed as PADT member secy

Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Kripasur Sherpa has sacked Govinda Tandan from the post of Member Secretary at Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) on Friday.

It is learnt that Minister Sherpa and Tandan had a dispute regarding handing over contract of the sand and crushed rocks stored at PADT’s land in Gothatar. 

Minister Sherpa had been piling pressure to grant the contract to one Mitharam Dahal. Tandan was sacked after he turned down the minister’s proposal, according to sources at the ministry.

Saresh Nepal, a former District Development Committee president at Sindhupalchok, has been nominated as the member secretary of PADT.

Meanwhile, the PADT Executive Director Koshraj Acharya has tendered resignation from the post. PADT’s Ramesh Upreti has been appointed in his position.
