Training on saving seriously injured concludes in Pokhara
A three-day serious injury management training provided to general physicians and medical officers has been concluded in Pokhara on Friday.A three-day serious injury management training provided to general physicians and medical officers has been concluded in Pokhara on Friday. The objective of the training was to prevent seriously injured from death, mutilation and disability.
Highlighting serious injuries as a major cause of death, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) provided the training to enable the doctors involved in treatment on improving the health condition of seriously injured.
Twenty-three doctors participated in the applied-practice based training. The 3-day training was provided to general physicians and medical officers hailing from areas with poor infrastructures and high rate of accidents.ICRC’s Medical Department Head, Jagadish Shrestha, informed that ICRC has provided such training to 300 doctors working in government hospitals in 72 districts in the span of six years.
