MJF-Loktantrik leaders quit party en masse

- Post Report, BIRGUNJ

Oct 12, 2015-

The entire party working committee, including chairman, of Parsa/Bara chapter of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik have resigned en masse to protest the party’s participation in the new government without Madhes demands being addressed.

The leaders said they would continue obstructing the Nepal-bound vehicles at Nepal-India border until their demands were addressed.

Speaking at a press meet in Birgunj on Monday, Parsa chapter Chairman Sashi Kapoor Miya said that the party joining government before amending the constitution is against the spirit of Madhes agitation and they have quit the party on moral grounds.

“The Madhes-centric parties have betrayed Madhesi people by participating in the election of Prime Minister that was held in accordance with the new constitution—that was burnt by Madhesi people in protest,” said Miya. “The Madhes agitation would continue until demands of Madhesis were addressed.”
