In his first address to the Parliament after assuming the PM post, Oli said he is focused on living up to the people’s high expectations from the government.
“I am aware about the people’s high expectations,” said PM Oli, “The concerns of people will be addressed step by step."
Do not politicise the administration: Ram Chandra Poudel
Nepali Congress Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel has suggested the government to avoid politicising the administration. Criticising the norm of preparing employee transfer list after formation of new government, Poudel drew the government’s attention in the matter during his address at Legislature-Parliament meeting on Thursday. Leader Poudel also highlighted the responsibility of the new government towards passing a Bill on formation of a Reconstruction Authority and holding talks with the agitating parties.
A positive start has begun: Madhav Nepal
Former prime minister and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said some illusions seen after the endorsement of new constitution are now eradicating. Addressing the Legislature-Parliament meeting held on Thursday, Nepal said that despite some differences among political parties vis-a-vis promulgation of the new constitution and election of prime minister, they are of singular mind on the issues related to national interest. Highlighting the current ease in border movements after formation of a new government, Nepal said that it was a positive start. Nepal stressed on the need to correct the previous mistakes and to bring everyone under agreement.
