The Indian Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) has tightened the entry of Nepal-bound freights from third countries at eastern border entry point in Kakadvitta.
According to local businessmen, SSB has tightened the goods inbound from Bangladesh and Bhutan. “They take 4-5 hours to check up a single cargo truck,” said one importer Dilip Timilsina, who imports the goods from Bangladesh.
SSB sources said that they have been instructed to tighten the trucks and containers entering Nepal via third countries.
Only two fuel tankers and 16 cargo trucks have entered Nepal through the Kakadvitta Custom Office till noon on Friday, informed chief at customs office Bhim Adhikari.
