In a meeting with former Prime Minister and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday, Ambassador Rae said there have been some problems in relations between Nepal-India in recent times and conveyed his sadness over the growing anti-India sentiments in Nepal.
Ambassador Rae reiterated that India has not imposed blockade against Nepal and claimed that the reports about India’s support to the ongoing Madhes agitation is not true, said Nepal’s aide Mohan Gautam.
The Indian envoy stressed that Nepal’s internal problems should be resolved by the political parties themselves.
“Former Prime Minister Nepal said that the political parties are committed to resolve the problems through maximum possible consensus,” said a press note issued by Gautam.
Leader Nepal urged the Indian government to become sensitive about the hardships faced by the Nepali people.
