“The current problem (of border blockade) is the result of imported agenda carried by certain elements,” said PM Oli, talking to a delegation of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) on Friday. “Nepal is currently at the receiving end of unofficial blockade. But this is the time for us to find alternative,” he added, hinting at the undeclared border blockade by India.
The prime minister informed the FNJ delegation about the government’s policy to resume the trolleybus series and bring other electric vehicles into operation, FNJ vice chairperson Anita Bindu told the post.
Oli also said that the government will resolve the problems by holding talks with the agitating groups in Tarai. “We have been calling on the agitating groups to come for talks,” said leader Oli.
Lauding the crucial role played by the media sector in changing the system, PM Oli said, “Media is independent. Media should be responsible not anarchic.”
