Leader Sitaula also said that India’s ‘unofficial’ blockade has impacted the economy of Nepal. He said that India should not trouble a neighbouring country by penetrating into the internal affairs of a sovereign country.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Makwanpur Press Union on Saturday, leader Sitaula said that India has tarnished its reputation as a good neighbour. “NC will take initiatives to end the blockade in its own way,” he said, “At the same time we will also support the government’s endeavours as well.”
“Nepali people haven’t committed any mistake by promulgating their constitution, but it is still unclear why a neighbour is troubling Nepalis,” he said.
Stating that the defects in the constitution cannot be addressed from outside the Parliament, leader Sitaula reiterated that the agitating Madhes-based parties should quit their protests at no-man’s land and join the Parliament.
