At a time when the unofficial Indian blockade has resulted in an acute fuel shortage, the Timber Corporation of Nepal (TCN) has ferried ten trucks of firewood into the Capital for distribution to general public.
Forest Minister Agni Prasad Sapkota had directed to distribute firewood in the Capital city on November 10.
“We will start distributing the first lot of firewood from Friday,” said TCN Managing Director Birendra Yadav. “People can purchase the firewood from Balkumari and Gaushala.”
However, the prices of woods have not been fixed yet.
