President Bidya Devi Bhandari offered tika to her younger brother Degendra Pandey at 11:55 am Friday– the auspicious time for Bhai Tika this year.
President Bhandari extended blessings to her brother and offered fruits, walnut and sweets. President Bhandari received blessings as well as presents including money and other goods.
Pandey had reached the Presidential Office, Shital Niwas, to receive tika from his sister.
President Bhandari's younger sister Sushila Pandey offered her tika at 11:55 am with accompaniment of the Mangal Dhun – auspicious music played particularly during the festive season of Bada Dashain and Tihar, said President's Personal Secretary, Shiva Bhattarai.
