198 fuel tankers cross into Nepal from south

One hundred and sixty-six fuel tankers have entered Nepal through Biratnagar-Jogbani border point since Wednesday. According to customs officials, some 150 other cargo trucks carrying industrial raw materials and other essential goods crossed the border during the period.
Biratnagar customs office informed that 166 fuel tankers entered through this border point during the Tihar festival. The office said 102 tankers of diesel, 43 tankers of petrol and 21 bullets of LPG entered through this entry point since Wednesday.
Similarly, there has been an increased movement of cargo truck carrying petroleum products through Nepalgunj-Rupaidiha border point since Friday. Thirty-two fuel tankers have entered through this border in the past two days.
Jamunaha police post informed 43 trucks, including 22 tankers - 11 with diesel, five with aviation fuel and one each with petrol and kerosene -crossed into Nepal on Saturday alone.
Our correspondent from Kakadvitta said that only one fuel tanker carrying aviation fuel and LPG bullet crossed into Nepal from the eastern border on Friday and Saturday respectively. Likewise, 14 diesel tankers entered Nepal through Bhairahawa-Sunauli border point on Saturday. Some fuel tankers are expected to cross the border on Saturday night.
