Minister for Youth and Sports Satyanarayan Mandal has said that misconducts and irregularities surfaced in the country's football sector have inflicted pain upon nation's sovereignty.

At a face-to-face programme organised by Reporters' Club here Tuesday, the Sports Minister underlined the need of bringing improvements in the entire sports sector.

The disciplinary action taken by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) against All Nepal Football Association President Ganesh Thapa has drawn the serious attention of government, he said, adding that he has already proposed government to form a probe committee to find out the facts surrounding allegations on Thapa.
