The Community Self Reliance Center (CSRC) has provided various construction materials for elderly people in Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk district.

Some 3,004 quake-affected people in the districts received zinc sheets and various other materials to construct temporary shelters. The materials were distributed by CSRC with assistance from HelpAge International.

The organisation said the quake affected elderly in Helambu, Mahakal, Ichowk, Kiwul and Talamarang of Singhupalchowk district and Gorsyang and Ratmate VDCs of Nuwakot received the materials under the Temporary Shelter Project initiated by CSRC.

Following the completion of the first phase of the project, the organisation is providing Rs 15,000 cash, two blankets and a solar light under the second phase of the project.
