The passenger bus. Na 5 Kha 1665, that was being escorted by police personnel along the East-West Highway, lost control as it tried to overtake another vehicle at a narrow section of the road and over turned at 5 am this morning, informed Saptari Police DSP Narayan Chimoriya.
The injured have been taken to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences where they are receiving medical attention.
Among the deceased, Nirjala basnet, 9, of Tulsipur-7, Dhanusha has been identified. Meanwhile, an ATM card belonging to Jiwan Kumar Adhikari has been recovered from another victim. He is yet to be identified, said police.
