Valley students hit streets, protest Indian blockade (With photo & video)

Teachers, parents and students in Kathmandu Valley formed a 27 km long human chain around Ring Road on Friday in a bid to internationalise the Indian blockade in Nepal and pressurise the concerned authorities to ensure children’s right to education.
Association of Private Educational Institutions of Nepal (Apein), an umbrella body of private schools and colleges, took the lead to organise this symbolic protest after the repeated appeals to create environment for smooth operation of the academic institutions were not heard.
The demonstration was started at 11 in the morning.
The students were seen holding placards with slogans, "Bachna Deu, Pardna Deu " (Let Us Live, Let Us Study), "Hamro Bhawishya Andharkar Paarna Payidaina" (No one has the right to make our future dark).
Likewise, the students chanted 'Nepal... Nepal', 'Gorkhali Hamro Saan Ho' (Being a Gorkhali is our pride) and 'India Hamilai Chahidaina' (We don't need India), 'Back off India' slogans during the protest.
The students also vented theire ire towards the government saying, "Nalayak Sarkhar Chahidaina" (We don't need a worthless government).
