Three people were killed in a road accident at Nursing VDC-1 along the East-West Highway in the district on Saturday, police said.

The accident took place when a truck (Na 3 Kha 7990) hit a stationary passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 4804) at the place.

The deceased are Santosh KC, 35, Hasim Mansuri, 37, Khusid Alam, 32, of Nursing VDC in the district, it is learnt.

Police have arrested truck driver and impounded the truck for further action.
