Scores of students, their parents and teachers have formed a human chain at Parbanipur in Birgunj Monday morning, showing their solidarity towards the ongoing Madhes agitation.

The event organized by the Private and Boarding Schools’ Organization, Nepal (PABSON), National Private and Boarding Schools’ Association Nepal (N-PABSON), the Higher Secondary School Association (HISSAN), Teachers Association and the Parents Association among others stretched from Parbanipur to places as Maisthan, Ghantaghar and Narayani Sub-Zonal Hospital.

They were carrying placards and banners demonstrating various slogans, including ‘End Violence and Murder’, ‘Guarantee Human Rights’, ‘Ensure Right to Education’, ‘Establish Madhesis Rights’ and ‘Seek Outlet through Talks’, among other. The event that started at 9 am lasted till 11 am.
