An Indian tourist bus (UP 51 T 8311) parked at Dihikopatan in Pokhara caught fire on Monday morning. The bus staff claimed three unidentified men had doused the bus with petrol and set it on fire.
An Indian tourist bus (UP 51 T 8311) parked at Dihikopatan in Pokhara caught fire on Monday morning. The bus staff claimed three unidentified men had doused the bus with petrol and set it on fire.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the fire was lit inside the bus, Superintendent of Police (SP) Hari Bahadur Pal said.
A gallon containing diesel was also recovered from the luggage compartment in the rear section of the bus.
Police have detained the bus driver and his assistance for investigation.
SP Pal said the bus driver was drunk at the time of the incident.
The bus had reached Pokhara with 40 Indian tourists on Sunday.
