The Madhesi Janadhikar Forum -Loktantrik (MJF-L) has drawn the government's attention towards implementation of eight-point agreement signed with it during the formation of incumbent government.

A team headed by MJF-L Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at latter's official residence in Baluwatar and urged him to implement the eight-point agreement.

The memorandum submitted to PM Oli demands to declare those who died during Tarai-Madhes agitation as martyrs, provide rightful compensation to those whose houses and property were destroyed and looted and withdraw cases filed against its cadres.

On the occasion, DPM Gachchhadar said that the government should take initiative immediately to address the different issues including federalism, delineation of federal states, making the new constitution fully inclusive, among others.

In response, Prime Minister Oli said that he was positive for the implementation of the eight-point demand signed with MJF-L.

PM Oli said, "I am positive to address your genuine demands as per the new constitution."

Different party leaders including Senior Vice-Chairperson Rameshwor Raya Yadav and Vice-Chairman Govinda Chaudhary were also in the team. RSS
