Leader of Nepal Sadbhawan Party Mahendra Raya Yadav turned down the idea of resolving demarcation issue within three months as proposed by the government. Leader Yadav was speaking at an interaction programme in the Capital on Monday.
He said that Morcha is more concerned with their 11-point demand rather than government’s 4-point decision.
An emergency Cabinet meeting on Sunday evening decided to form a high-level political mechanism with a mandate to submit reports on redrawing the borders of federal provinces outlined by the newly adopted constitution with acceptable recommendations for all sides within three months of its formation.
Leader Yadav also complained that government has yet to live up to its assurance of proving free treatment to injured protesters, compensation to the family of those killed during Madhes agitation, and withdrawing fake charges filed against the protesters.
Speaking about his meeting with Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae this morning, leader Yadav said that Rae was inquiring about the Morcha’s position on the four-point decision made by the government. Yadav told Rae that Madhesi did not believe that the decision could resolve current crisis.
Also speaking at the programme, Sadbhawana Party Co-chairman Laxman Lal Karna said the current political crisis could be resolved in 4/5 days if serious talks were held on it.
