Salyan
Police have recovered 360 sets of socket bombs from Kharsubas in Korbangjhimpe-8 in the district along with some gelignite on Thursday.
The explosives were found hidden inside a cave in a jungle.
Police Chief DSP Bhola Raut said the bombs were hidden in such a place where it is very difficult to reach. He further said the explosives were hidden at three different locations.
Judging by the type of box used to store the bombs and the nature of storage, DSP Raut said they might have been hidden during the Maoist insurgency.
Nepal Army’s Bhagwati Battalion at Salyan has defused the bombs, it is learnt.
