Police recovered fake notes worth Rs 50,000 and a currency printer from the racket. The group was active in the district for last one month.
The information about the gang came into light after the police arrested Gaur-9 resident Ram Prabesh Yadav. Yadav was detained along with a fake note of Rs 1,000 and marijuana.
Manoj Kumar Mahato, of Deupura-7, Dhanusha; Jugal Kishor Kuswaha of Gaur-4; Narayan Chaudhary, of Dhamaura-3, Sankhuawa; Oshi Mohammad of Chandrapur-13; Baluwa and Abhaykumar of Ghodasahan in India were arrested on the basis of Yadav’s statement.
Police recovered fake currency notes mobile phone, motorbike, cycle and ink used in printing fake currency from the accused.
According to Police Inspector Ram Prakash Chaudhary, the police recovered fake currency buried inside the house of Narayan Chaudhary at Dhamaura.
Chaudhary has said that they have been printing fake notes for the past one month. It has been found that the gang had also used the fake currency at Bairganiya market in India.
