Students of Hong Kong have donated mufflers to the survivors of earthquake in Sindhupalchok district. Students of six different schools and universities knitted 500 scarves and sent it to Nepal for distribution.
"The plight of survivors who lost their homes to the devastating quake worsened following the trade blockade at Nepal-India border crossings," said FishFish Yim. "We wanted to provide relief to the people."
Hong Kong-based the Media Evangelism Limited - Life-Time Hotline launched a campaign "Convey Warmth to Nepal" for raising funds for assistance. Hundreds of students joined the campaign and the students were also taught knitting.
The HK organisation had also sent its experts to Nepal after the earthquake of April 25 for helping the affected people. They provided counselling to representatives of the local organisations on how to stay safe and save the injured people during the earthquake.
