He acknowledged that there are ups and downs in Nepal-India relations at times and it is necessary to identify problems from these experiences and take the ties to new heights.
Speaking at an interaction organised on the occasion of 67th Republic Day of India on Monday, Minister Thapa said, “The relations are warmer slowly. Dark clouds over the relations are passing away.”
He said the height of the relations would be conspicuous after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s India visit. It also brought some uneasiness. Now it is time to go for a sustainable solution.”
He said there are substantial numbers of people in India who have positive view about Nepal.
At the programme, Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel underlined the need to keep Nepal-India ties stable.
