Gorkha Hospital receives aid from Zonta Club
A team of Zonta Club from Kathmandu visited the Gorkha Hospital to provide aid service. Pramila Acharya Rijal, President of the Club, handed over birthing instruments to the hospital.The devastating earthquake of April, 2015 with epicentre in Gorkha district had caused severe damages across the country. The Gorkha District Hospital was severely damaged by the quake. Pregnant and lactating mothers are staying in tents within the hospital premises. Lacks of birthing instruments have caused complication in safe delivery services and postnatal care.
A team of Zonta Club from Kathmandu visited the Gorkha Hospital to provide aid service. Pramila Acharya Rijal, President of the Club, handed over birthing instruments to the hospital. The instruments handed over were delivery table, baby resuscitation table with radiant heater, surge holder, straight kocher forceps, vaginal speculum, 10 patient beds, height adjustment tool, among others.
