Sushmia Tamang and Biaya Sinjali bagged two silver medals for Nepal in the games held at Shillong, Meghalaya. Nepal had expected gold medals from both of these players.
Sushmita secured 8.82 points out of 10 in women’s category, Sri Lanka won the gold medal, while India won bronze.
Likewise, Bijaya secured 8.80 points out of 10 in men’s category, he was only 0.6 points behind the gold medallist from India, while Pakistan won bronze.
Earlier on Saturday, Bikash Thapa claimed first silver for Nepal in 62kg weightlifting and Devi Chaudhary brought bronze medal in the discipline.
