Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has welcomed the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM)’s decision to call off their programmes of border blockade, general strike and government office shutdown.

Terming the SLMM decision as a positive move, PM Oli called on the agitating parties to resolve the remaining issues of dispute through dialogue.

“I have taken the decision made by Madhesi Morcha today positively,” read a press statement issued by PM Oli’s press advisor Pramod Dahal, “I welcome Morcha’s decision to put off the general strike, border blockade and shutdown of government offices.”

PM Oli’s response came right after a meeting of SLMM took a formal decision in this regard.

“We all need to work together to resolve the problems facing the nation. I am confident that all kinds of disagreement can be resolved through talks and dialogue. And I call upon every stakeholders for the same,” said PM in his statement.
