Manchhe Polne Bhatti, a play written and directed by Pranav Aakash, is currently being staged at the Sarwanaam Theatre, in Kalikasthan, Kathmandu.
The play encapsulates in its plot the various facets of Nepali society and portrays how its characters deal with the complexities of life. In doing so, the play compares the titular bhatti (kiln) with the society we live in, and shows how humans get burned by the kiln-like society.
The play also deals with societal issues such as superstitious beliefs and looks at its characters through psychoanalytical lenses.
The play features Sushil Gaire, Bhisma Pranav Aakash, Bhima Mainali, and Arpan Rupendra Sivakoti, among others.
