Adieu Sushil Da (photo feature)

A large number of people thronged at Dashrath Stadium to pay last respects to former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala on Tuesday.

Leader Koirala succumbed to pneumonia in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Koirala was suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

The mortal remains of Koirala were kept at Dashrath Stadium for public viewing. Before this his body was placed at NC party office in Sanepa.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister KP Oli, Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar, among other political leaders, diplomats, party cadres, well-wishers, family members, public paid their homage.

Likewise, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, leaders Sitaram Yechuri, Sharad Yadav, Ajit Doval and Anand Sharma also offered condolences on the behalf of Indian people and government of India.
