Nepali Congress (NC) has cancelled all the electoral programmes related to party’s 13^th General Convention until further notice. 

The party’s election programmes were deferred following the demise of party President and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, read a statement issued by NC acting chief secretary Pradeep Parajuli. Koirala passed away at 12:50 on Tuesday morning. 

Meanwhile, an emergency Central Working Committee of NC has been summoned at party central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur for 11 am on Tuesday.  

NC Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel said that Koirala’s body would be kept at his residence till 8:00 am and would be kept at the party central office in Sanepa till 12 noon. The body would be brought at Dasharath Stadium for condolence.
