Pakistan put a strong target of 259 against Nepal with Mohsin scoring a century and Badar completing his half-century. Mohsin (117) and Badar (88) came to bat when Pakistan were stuttering at 30 for the loss of three wickets and steadied their inning with a mature batting performance to set up the total.
Aarif Sheikh claimed two quick wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane also claimed bottom order Pakistani batsmen while Nepal struggled to contain the run flow after a good start.
Nepal will get an automatic qualification to the 2018 ICC U-19 World Cup if they produce an upset against Pakistan. The International Cricket Council (ICC) had decided to provide the highest-ranked non-Test playing team an automatic qualification for the 2018 U-19 World Cup to be held in New Zealand.
